Creekside Steakhouse and Tavern in Payson

My server Tamara was awesome, the food was great, and the live music was a nice plus. I love that the patio is dog friendly, and the patrons are the best around. Can’t wait to visit again!

My favorite little spot in the Payson area. Food is amazing, ambience is exquisite on the back patio encompassed by the aromatic Pines and the staff is awesome and super friendly. Shout out to my boy Craig and make sure you ask for Tamara, she’s the best!

Horrible service. Our server took our order and we didn't see him again until almost 15 minutes after we flagged another server down for our check. No one checked on us, no offer of water or a 2nd round of drinks. The food is fantastic, but never again after being completely ignored while every server hung out at the table next to us. Apparently with the owner.

I love hanging out on the new patio at Creekside! The live music has been amazing and the new menu items are delicious. The pork chop and ribeye steak are amazing. Service is always wonderful.

Had a fabulous lunch out on their lovely porch, under the trees and umbrellas! Tamara was THE best waitress! Food was awesome! Prices reasonable! Will be coming back soon to try their steaks and ribs for dinner!

Had dinner at Creekside for the first time this summer and we were pleasantly surprised with the comfortable atmosphere on the outdoor patio. They had a guitar player to add to our enjoyment and our waitress Nikki was very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be back soon!

We stopped here for the first time after leaving Woods Canyon Lake today. The food was great and Tamara was awesome! We will be back for sure!

Fish and chips were “on point”! Cold beer and super nice people! Can’t wait till my next get away. My wife and I recommend Creekside to everyone and I find myself comparing other places to Creekside. I’ll be back in August for sure!

I always have a great experience here! and the new dinner menu is great–lots of options. Steak, chicken, ribs!! The staff is super friendly and the vibe is perfect. Large, dog friendly patio with twinkle lights and pine trees. I’ll be back!

The food was incredible. Meatloaf was huge and tasty. Tacos were fantastic and desert was over the top. Saw some steaks that looked awesome. Staff was very attentive and friendly and there was some great live music on the patio. Highly recommended!

Service was good. (They deserve 5 stars.) But the food sucked. Stay away from the wings. Gross and no flavor. Hamburger was dry and tasted like cardboard. No real sauce of any kind on it to make it better. Fries were the only good part of the meal. Chicken strips are your typical frozen kind you get at fast food places and a whole lot more expensive. Not what we expected!

Nikki was a great server! Amazing Bloody Marys, and just what you need for. Saturday afternoon. Had to have two! The wings were wonderful with sweet BBQ sauce. For hot dog lovers, yum.

Had such a great time at Creekside Tavern on the 4th of July. The patio area is really nice and very relaxing under the pines. We listened to live music all afternoon...the musician, Briggs, was amazing! It was so much fun. We ate lunch and dinner there and everything was delicious. I just love their street tacos...so flavorful! Pizza and hamburgers were also very tasty❤️❤️❤️. Can't wait to go back!

Creekside was one of my favorite places that I visited this year. Gives me a lot of nostalgia for the places we used to travel when I was a kid. It’s got a wonderfully rustic feel, which is exactly what I was looking for. Our two-year-old and 10-year-old had a blast exploring, while we sat back and drink beer and ate burgers. Definitely recommend.

The area is excellent but the food and service weren't great. The waitress was nice but slow and maybe new? Our food took forever and my wife's veggie tacos had chunks of meat in them. My chicken sandwich wasn't awful it just lacked any flavor. The fries were good. Also, pretty expensive. And none of the employees were wearing a mask. They had them on, just slung under their chins. In our new normal that is a problem.

This food is amazing! I started for two nights so I got to eat here multiple times, so I’m somewhat of an expert. The meatloaf is worth the drive from anywhere in Arizona, possibly the US. The Buffalo chicken salad was so good that I ate too much. Tonight Tamara took care of us, and here service was as good as the food! If you’re traveling on the 260 near Payson, slam on your brakes, pull U-Turn and head to Creekside Tavern! You will not regret it.

Tamara was awesome! Super attentive service! Also very sweet. We ate outside and the weather was beautiful. Hamburger was delicious. We will be back.

So I have come to Creekside Tavern and Tamara made all my nights and dinners so amazing. She is funny, on top of service and just a pleasure to know. This is Diana with the fractured ankle and she even brought my food to Cabin 1 after it happened! Love everything about this place and the Fish and Chips are the bomb!

My wife and I drove through Christopher Creek loop and stopped by the Creekside for dinner. I just want to to say the NY strip and the Ribeye were phenomenal and the fresh veggies really make a difference. Everything was top notch. They have a special 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for under 60$. Wow worth every penny.

Haven't been here since I was a kid, under new ownership, place looks great and our Waitress Tamara did a great job for our SxS group. Like the new patio too. I will be back for sure!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant that was off the grid! The staff was super friendly, and very welcoming! The food was outstanding!!! Enough for Big Foot to eat and take some home!!! If we are ever the area we will definitely be back! Also they are dog friendly 🐕

This restaurant is under new ownership and it shows in a great way!! We were hesitant to return because we hadn't had great experiences in the past but we decided to give it another chance when we heard it was under new ownership. The ambiance of the outdoor patio is perfect for a summer night and the live music topped it off. (Don't know if we would have enjoyed sitting inside as much...the patio and live music were super entertaining for our three children). All of our servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Our salads were great and the kids meals were all a hit. The french fries are awesome. The firehouse buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious and so were the street tacos (although the portion of the tacos was small...next time I will order two orders). The homemade pies looked awesome as well. We always go to Kohl's Ranch or Landmark for our dinners out when we're at our cabin but I think we just found a new favorite spot!

I love this place. The new owner went beyond to make sure we were happy with our visit. During check-in and at the restaurant we were asked if we needed anything. Clean, quiet, beautiful area. It’s such a quick trip to get out of the heat that we’ll be back soon!

Food was great, but the service was even better. Tamara was the best! If you ever stop in here make sure you get seated in her section.

We have been patrons of Creekside for 20+ years. In the passed we have been VERY disappointed! However, we decided to try again since it is, again, under new ownership!! So glad we did!! The makeover of the ENTIRE restaurant/patio,etc is AMAZING. The food was a hit! I had the chicken strip basket with onion rings...YUM!! Tamara, our waitress, was a delight! We will be return customers! So glad to have another GOOD restaurant in our area!!

We had fabulous food and service. The fresh veggies were an awesome compliment to the ribeye steak. Six of us all ordered different items and they were good. Also had a homemade coffee cake and ice cream for desert. Once again we loved it.

Great quaint place! The food is incredible, the service is good, it's nestled in the pine covered hills, indoor and outdoor patio seating. What more could you ask for? Medium to high pricing.

Tamara was awesome she made us feel so welcome and we had the best seat on the patio. We really has a great time. We will be back tomorrow! Love it here.

Had lunch there today. Friendly upbeat service with Tamera. Hubby had a yummy burger. I had a Mahgerita (sp?) pizza that was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back.
